![]() I actually love the magic in this series more than some of the others because it’s more exploratory of demons as characters instead of mere bad things to be killed in fight scenes. ![]() So basically, exacatly what you’d expect from the young London shadowhunter contingent. The Merry Thieves stand together through doubts and danger way beyond them. Lucie really comes in for the win in this book with the sheer volume of secrets she’s keeping from everyone. James and Cordelia continue to be a delightful tragedy, individually and together. Chain of Iron is the midpoint in the Last Hours series, so on top of the normal emotional warfare she puts us through, we’re at the climax of the series.
